The holidays are a great time to remind ourselves why we recover. We have an opportunity to spend time with friends, family and our sober community. Community gatherings remind us of the importance of keeping in contact and expressing gratitude for what we have around us. We reach out to those we care about, reconnect with lost contacts and take time for ourselves to re-center.
It is also important to recognise that holidays can also be stressful. These times can bring up a lot of past memories, lost opportunities and changes we wish we made earlier. If anyone you know is struggling, this is a great time to reach out, offer support and simply let them know you care. In the recovery community, there are always extra support groups available for anyone in need. The following resources are available:

Seattle AA: https://www.seattleaa.org/
Seattle NA: https://seattlena.org/
SSL would like to thank everyone for being part of our community. We appreciate everyone we have had the pleasure to work with. To anyone in need of help, please reach out. And to the community at large, Happy Holidays!
